Hospital Internacional de Colombia (HIC): Mobile ECMO Unit

The country required a complete re-engineering of critical care transport to enable the safe and timely transfer of highly complex patients whose survival depends on advanced external cardiac and respiratory support.

Designing Colombia’s first ambulance with ECMO technology (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) required the integration of a redundant stabilised power architecture and high-security structural anchoring for artificial lungs and hearts, within an environment of maximum spatial optimisation.

We manufactured an advanced support unit with rigorous interior ergonomics, allowing a multidisciplinary medical team to work in full comfort and safety, with unrestricted manoeuvrability during critical emergencies in transit.

Built under the strictest current healthcare standards and regulations, the unit confirms NINOX’s technological and engineering leadership in Colombia for the development of high-complexity medical transport solutions.
